Depression & Anxiety
Maybe you have been feeling less like "you" lately...
Have you found yourself feeling more worried or anxious?
Perhaps it sometimes feels like your heart is racing or your stomach is upset and you're not always quite sure why...
Maybe your appetite has changed and you are finding yourself struggling to sleep...or sleeping too much...
Have you found it difficult to balance all of life's demands?
Are you dealing with challenges in some of your social relationships?

If any of this sounds like something you can relate to, you are not alone. Seeking therapy can be a great way to begin to process these emotions and build and expand on the skills you have within you to manage them in a more comfortable way. I will sometimes use different resources like workbooks or will take you through some guided meditation, breathing exercises, or grounding techniques to help you explore various ways of managing your experience and find what feels right for you.
Life Transitions
Are you transitioning into or out of college and finding the change difficult?
Perhaps you are preparing to enter your first job post-college and feeling nervous or confused…
Maybe you are feeling a bit lost about the direction of your life now that you are out of college/school and looking to find some guidance…
Have you recently ended a relationship or want to deal with feelings and concerns related to a previous relationship?

If you are feeling like any of these scenarios sound similar to your situation, therapy may be beneficial to you. Often times, individuals in this phase of life are feeling a bit lost and perhaps unsure of themselves and what the next best move is. I truly enjoy working with young adults experiencing these struggles and I approach our work through a lens of understanding the challenges and difficulties, while also supporting you to identify your strengths and move forward in a way that feels fulfilling and meaningful. I will, at times, recommend workbooks or other helpful books/podcasts, as well as utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy approaches in order to address unhelpful thought patterns.

Perinatal Mental Health
Becoming a new parent can be one of life’s most jarring changes.
Parenthood can create significant struggles in the areas of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, identity changes, relationship difficulties, unbalanced mental load, “mom guilt” and shame/judgment, self-criticism, etc. Things become even more difficult when we factor in the idea that many of these topics are widely experienced, but rarely discussed. I am here to provide support in navigating all of these challenges and I approach my work with individuals in this season of life from a perspective of meeting you where you are in your current life, but also helping you to find a path forward in a healthier and more fulfilling way.

I also enjoy supporting couples navigating these challenges together, as well as non-birthing partners in an individual setting. Adding a new child into a family can bring to the surface new and unexpected struggles for couples and that can feel very scary. My work with couples focuses on providing some psychoeducation around the mental health and role changes that occur for both partners in the postpartum period, as well as working to identify your specific challenges and how to resolve them with a greater level of understanding.

Whether you suspect you may be struggling with postpartum depression or anxiety, or you are looking for a supportive and non-biased person to help you navigate all of the changes in your life, I’m glad you are here and thank you for considering me.
